The Role of Technology in Social Inequality: A Double-Edged Sword?
Abstract
This paper investigates the dual role of technology in either exacerbating or alleviating social inequality. By analyzing the impact of digital divide, access to education, and job displacement due to automation, the research presents a nuanced view of technology as both a driver of progress and a potential source of inequality. Policy recommendations are provided to harness technology's benefits while mitigating its adverse effects on marginalized communities.
